Yard’s Park Summer Concert Series

Come to Yard’s Park for some ‘riverfront rhythm.’ Set up a picnic by the water with some friends while soaking in the sounds of local bands playing a variety of genres from favorite covers, reggae and Latin rock to bluegrass. This Friday night, Indie Rock band The Reserves will be performing their hits on the riverfront.

The Summer Concert Series takes place every Friday evening from 6:30 to 8:30pm, throughout the summer until August 30th. Admission is free to all, so come join the Friday night fun! For more information about the Concert Series, click here.

The All American Bar Crawl

This bar crawl is getting the party going a few days ahead of the game! Take a trip just outside of DC to Arlington, VA, where the crawling and star-spangled mischief anxiously await. With ten current participating bars, including Clarendon Grill and Mad Rose Tavern, and even more to be announced, this hot crawl should definitely not be missed. Smithsonian Folklife Festival

This annual festival brings cultural traditions all around the world together in one weekend and one place. The Smithsonian Folklife Festival features dance and musical performances throughout the day and into the evening. Delicious cooking and unique crafts demonstrations will also take place, in addition to storytelling. The food represents different cultural tastes and roots. This fun weekend of festivities will begin on Wednesday, June 26th and lasts through Sunday, June 30th at the National Mall from 11am until 5:30pm (evening events start at 5:30pm).  Admission is free!  For more information on this event, click here.

If you’re in the mood for a fun adventure on Sunday, take it to the gorgeous countryside in Linden, Virginia at The Trail Barn. Just over an hour outside of the city, you will experience an amazing afternoon filled with picturesque sights of the mountains and a tranquil western-style horse riding, accompanied by a delicious and intimate picnic basket lunch available for purchase.
