The reflection of colorful explosions on the Reflecting Pool is certainly a gorgeous sight to see in DC.  This annual firework display draws in hundreds of thousands of eager spectators who set up cozy blankets and chairs for the viewing.  Picnic dinners will commence under the brilliant light show.  Fireworks will begin shooting off against the starry, patriotic backdrop at 9:10pm on Thursday, July 4th, accompanied by music from the National Symphony Orchestra.  The show will last for seventeen minutes.  For more information, click here.  The National Mall is located between Constitution and Independence Ave. SW.

A Capitol Fourth Concert

A selection of America’s most famous musical artists come together to put on outstanding performances at A Capitol Fourth Concert.  This year’s concert will feature host Tom Bergeron and the legendary Barry Manilow.  Manilow will be leading an awesome cast, including artists such as American Idol winner Scotty McCeery and actor/singer Darren Criss from Glee.  The concert will be broadcasted live on PBS on July 4thfrom 8-9:30pm.  To learn more about this event, clickhere.
