Boston-area restaurants have you covered with the tastiest bites in town for every occasion…especially when splurging on a savory Thanksgiving feast!  I prepared the ultimate list for every urbanite and tourist to fathom over: a scrumptious roundup of Boston-area restaurants serving Thanksgiving fare.

Take a year off free of laboring for hours in the kitchen for hungry guests.  Treat yourself and your family this year, because Boston is certainly ready to pamper all palates with top-notch dining options!

Bar Boulud, Boston at Mandarin Oriental Boston

Chef de Cuisine Aaron Chambers designed an incredibly delicious menu for this Thanksgiving…complimented with optional wine pairings.  Chef Chambers places an enticing, innovative spin on fresh, local ingredients to create a simply decadent celebration for all to enjoy.

Some of the appetizers include: Tuscan Kale Salad, prepared with pomegranate, roasted fall squash and Parmigiano-Reggiano; Wild Pemaquid Oysters, served with rejuvenating citrus mignonette; and Poached Gloucester Lobster, featuring endive, hearts of palm, clementine and crème fraiche.

Prepare your appetite for the main course, and take your pick from various tasty dishes.  To give you a snippet of deliciousness, the House-made Pumpkin Cavatelli is sinfully divine, spotlighting kale, chestnuts, black trumpet and pecorino-Romano cheese.  For those who like to coincide with tradition on holidays, the Heritage Breed Turkey is the entrée for you, incorporating braised leg, roasted breast, sweet potato purée, sage stuffing, cranberry sauce, roasted Brussels sprouts and rosemary-brown butter turkey jus.

Cost: $95 for Bar Boulud’s three-course prix fixe – gratuity, tax and beverages not included.  Wine pairings are $154 per person.

Legal Crossing

(558 Washington St, Boston, MA)

Legal Crossing invites all urbanites and tourists alike to celebrate their very first Thanksgiving with a divine three-course customizable menu…spotlighting top-notch fare from land and sea.  From Legal Crossing’s succulent Lamb Ribs to their savory New England Clam Chowder, this venue will have you hooked within their First Course offerings.  As for their Mains, the Sage Roasted Turkey Dinner will fascinate all this Thanksgiving, prepared with Anadama stuffed delicata, pan gravy and parsley puréed potato.

Don’t even get us started on Legal Crossing Dessert Course options, as your mouth will begin to water.  To give you a tasty tidbit, their Pumpkin Creme Brûlée is certainly one of a kind.

When: 12 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Legal Harborside

Spend this Thanksgiving savoring a delicious prix fixe menu while overlooking the spectacular Boston Harbor.  Legal Harborside will host their Thanksgiving meal on the venue’s second floor to provide guests with one of the most picturesque views of Beantown.

For the first course, guests can choose from one of the four options: rejuvenating Pear Salad, which highlights Berkshire blue cheese, local greens, Serrano ham and sherry vinaigrette; Short Rib Ravioli, featuring celeriac emulsion, horseradish gremolata and root vegetables;Sweet Potato & Local Squash Soup, prepared with smoked maple, fried Brussels sprout leaves and candied honey-crisp apples; in addition to “Treasures of the Sea,” spotlighting jumbo shrimp cocktail, oysters, snow crab and house made accouterments.

Savory entrée options include: Georges Bank Sea Scallops, served with spaghetti squash, pomegranate and curry squash emulsion; Loche Duart Salmon, featuring Minus 8 beet puree, warm farro salad and walnut vinaigrette; Misty Knoll Farms Turkey, served with homemade cornbread and sage sausage stuffing, roasted root vegetables and cranberry relish; and Roasted Creekstone Sirloin, highlighting potato gratin, smoked onion rings and a tasty bone marrow butter.

Maybe we are a bit biased, but the best part of every meal is certainly dessert!  Legal Harborside will leave your Thanksgiving meal on a marvelous peak with their elite dessert choices.  The decision will definitely be a tough one when choosing from the venue’s Apple Turnover, served with salted caramel ice cream; Chocolate Soufflé, highlighting Grand Mariner crème anglaise; and Warm Pumpkin Steamed Pudding, emphasizing cranberry compote and candied pumpkin seeds.

Legal Sea Foods & Legal C Bar

Legal Sea Foods plans to illuminate the very first Thanksgiving menu.  The beloved venue welcomes all to join them in celebrating this incredible holiday, over mouthwatering cuisine!

Legal Sea Foods will offer their classic menu, which is filled to the brim with delectable seafood dishes.  The venue also plans to make a traditional feast, encompassing all of the favorite fixings: slow roasted turkey breast served with mashed potatoes, sausage stuffing, cranberry sauce and butternut squash.

Pantry at THE VERVE – Crowne Plaza will fascinate all with their sumptuous Thanksgiving buffet, prepared by Executive Chef Alastair Mclean.  Your palate will be in an enticing frenzy with this venue’s mouthwatering options – from creamy soup and refreshing salad, to ‘ocean-fresh’ seafood at the Raw Bar and succulent options from the Carvery.

The buffet will incorporate a fun Mashed Potato Bar with both red bliss and sweet mashed potatoes.  Pantry has all of the heavenly toppings to dress the prime mashed potatoes, including: marshmallow, scallions, sour cream, cheddar cheese, bacon crumbles and candied pecans.

Pantry’s Stations spotlight Turkey Pot Pie with thyme, tea-soaked cranberries and heavenly butter crust; Baked Blue Cod, served with chorizo, white beans, thyme and cherry tomato; Sweet Potato Gnocchi, made with sage, parmesan and candied pecans; and Roasted Brussels Sprouts, prepared with bacon pomegranate and pumpkin.  Head over to the Carvery and feast your eyes on a selection of unique spins on traditional turkey.  Pile your plate high with Maple-Brined Turkey, which highlights apple-sausage stuffing, truffle gravy and cranberry-orange chutney.

Pantry’s innovative desserts are certainly the show-stealers – from the venue’s Sugar-Glazed Sweet Potato Fritters, to the Dipped Apple Bar (dip your apple in a variety of toppings including caramel, chocolate, sprinkles, candy corn, heath bar, and/or crushed pretzel).

Seaport Hotel

The Seaport Hotel plans on captivating each and every guest’s taste buds with Chef Robert Tobin’s exclusive buffet brunch menu.  To give you a variety of the Seaport Hotel’s game plan, classic eggs Benedict, black bean eggs Benedict, lavish French toast, fluffy pancakes, tasty scrambled eggs, pork sausage, chicken apple sausage, crispy bacon and leek & truffle quiche will be served.  An assortment of cheeses & fruits will also be offered, in addition to fruit, yogurt & granola parfait; an exquisite raw bar with clams, shrimp cocktail and oysters; smoked salmon; pumpkin soup; macaroni & cheese and more.  For the traditional Thanksgiving favorites, a few options include roast turkey breast with cranberry sauce; butternut squash ravioli bathed in a brown butter sauce; traditional stuffing; in addition to sweet potato & maple syrup casserole.

Strega Prime

Woburn’s Strega Prime is going full throttle this Thanksgiving, giving guests the ultimate, top-notch culinary experience.  Each guest can pick his/her favorite starter, entrée and dessert from Strega’s spectacular three-course prix fixe menu.  The menu proudly incorporates Italian spins on traditional dishes.  The prix fixe menu will be served coinciding with a shortened form of Strega Prime’s á la carte menu.  With entrée choices such as Tacchino (roasted turkey, cider-roasted carrots, whipped potatoes, Brussels sprouts, bread stuffing, traditional gravy and orange-cranberry sauce), your delicious cravings will certainly not be disappointed this Thanksgiving with Strega Prime!

Cost: $55 per person

Strega Ristorante

(379 Hanover St, Boston, MA)

Strega North End

The original Strega location in Boston’s beloved North End will open its doors on Thanksgiving.  Executive Chef Sal Firicano will present Strega’s full menu to guests, spotlighting a variety of delicious fare.  Some of these elite favorites include: Costara Ripiena, which is veal chop stuffed with fontina cheese and prosciutto in a delicate white wine demi-glaze sauce ($42.95); Cozze alla Marinara, which are sautéed farm raised mussels served in a spicy tomato sauce, with a side of grilled Tuscan bread ($13.95); and Rollatini di Nico, which are rolled Sicilian eggplant with fresh ricotta, mozzarella and spinach, baked to savory perfection with parmigiano and plum tomatoes ($13.95).
